As part of liaison activities to create school spaces conducive to learning and development, the Alberto Baillères Foundation launched two volunteering programs with Grupo BAL companies.

In May 2023, “Transforming as a Community” educational grants were launched in partnership with GNP Seguros’ and the Televisa Foundation’s Gol por México program. During the 2023-2024 school year, 100 second- and third-year top-performing students at Preparatoria Oficial 94 (EPO 94) [Upper Secondary School] in Ecatepec will receive financial support and develop a transformative project for their community.

Additionally, 100 mentors from GNP Seguros will provide personalized monthly sessions to help these young people develop social leadership skills. At the beginning of the school year, mentors visited EPO 94 to meet students. Integration activities took place at a rally organized by the education community. Another in-person engagement session is planned in the next months.

Moreover, in late August, the Foundation, alongside the Mexico City Federal Education Authority (AEFCM) and educators, principals, students, and families, signed the Social Commitment Agreement with two education communities in Xoco, in Mexico City: Primaria Profr. Ponciano Rodríguez (Primary School) and Escuela Secundaria para Trabajadores 69 Héroes Navales Mexicanos (Secondary School). Through this voluntary agreement, the Foundation will work hand in hand with both communities to promote collaborative processes and transform their spaces.

52 volunteers from El Palacio de Hierro and Profuturo were present at the formal events for the signing of the agreement, where they distributed school supplies to 370 children and adolescents. With these activities, the Foundation reaffirms its commitment to creating alliances that enable cooperation around shared objectives.
