Fundación Alberto Baillères
March 2024

The Alberto Baillères Foundation brought together representatives of 33 civil society partner organizations in recognition of their contributions to the implementation of the Social Model, as well as to reflect on current challenges in education and on the importance of building partnerships to achieve shared goals. The Second Meeting of Partner Organizations included 150 people and was held on March 19 at GNP Seguros in Mexico City.
The event began with opening remarks by Alejandro Díaz de León, Corporate Director of Grupo BAL. Next, Sergio Kopeliovich delivered “The right to education and a culture of peace,” a keynote lecture in which he presented the results of his work in promoting art for peace in various Mexican localities.
As part of the activities, an exercise was held to promote dialogue on the capabilities the Social Model seeks to develop in education communities. After remarks by GNP Seguros Director Eduardo Silva and a break for lunch and socializing, three panels were held to address current challenges in work with education communities. The panels addressed the following issues: co-designing capability building evaluation, offering quality education for all, and guaranteeing the right to education in emergency situations. The Second Meeting of Partner Organizations concluded with a speech by Octavio Figueroa, Corporate Director of Grupo BAL.
For the Alberto Baillères Foundation, building a network of strategic partners who can join forces to guarantee quality education for children and young people is essential. Every organization that collaborates in the development of the Social Model enriches it with their experience and specific knowledge in different fields of action. For this reason, the Foundation will continue to promote the strengthening of ties of trust and joint responsibility between key actors.
